Brigade Mondaine

Brigade Mondaine live in Berlin. They consist of Tim Lensenta (known from Fein Raus 02) and Sur Plus, who runs the Fein Raus Label. They released tracks on various compilations (nbi, digital kranky, hundertzwei…), made one of the remixes for the Fein Raus 04 and worked with the puppet theatre - video - project PPP for a while. They make amateur music in the old sense of the word, with a playful approach to instruments and other kinds of gear and non-gear. They get inspired by the sometimes obscure outcome of the various technical, intellectual and social cicuits and weird wirings they produce and then try to bring it in a somehow known shape: This song wants to be Gabba and this song wants to be Postrock … But it's more an archaeology of their own ways of understanding music rather than an informed archaeology of pop history. Here you have two older tracks. More recent ones will follow.
